ROSS C. CRAMLET

DOUDS - Ross C. Cramlet, 75, educator and farmer of Des Moines and Douds, died Saturday at Iowa Methodist Hospital in Des Moines, where he had been since suffering a fall at his farm north of Douds on July 22.

He was born Nov. 20, 1900, to Frank and Katie Williams Cramlet. He graduated from Douds High School and Parsons College of Fairfield, and held a master's degree from the University of Iowa, Iowa City.

He taught woodworking in various Iowa high schools, and for a number of years prior to retirement in 1966, he was coordinator of adult education at Des Moines Technical High School.

Mr. Cramlet served as a technical adviser for the Easter Seal Society at Camp Sunnyside near Des Moines, and built numerous special woodworking tools for handicapped persons. He had served as a director of the Des Moines Area Community College and was the author of several textbooks on woodworking.

He was a Methodist, a Mason and a trustee of the Mount Moriah Cemetery north of Douds.

Surviving are his widow, Harriette Laughlin Cramlet; one daughter, Mrs. Karen Fessler of Lynchburg, Va.; and two grandsons.

The service will be Tuesday at noon at Westover Funeral Home in Des Moines. A graveside service will be Tuesday at 4 p.m. in the Mount Moriah Cemetery. The Rev. Harold Harryman will officiate.

Pedrick Funeral Home is in charge of local arrangements.
