PHYLLIS SHEROD

KEOSAUQUA - Phyllis V. Sherod, 84, of Keosauqua, died Saturday at 7:30 p.m. at Van Buren County Memorial Hospital.

Born Jan. 17, 1892, in Keosauqua, to Roger and Georgia Fray Kittle, she was a lifetime Keosauqua resident and worked for several years in the county treasurer's office. Also employed as a legal secretary and telephone operator, she was a member of the Keosauqua United Methodist Church, Lynd's Chapter, O.E.S., and the American Legion and World War I Veteran's Auxiliary.

She married Glen Sherod June 20, 1910. He survives.

Also surviving are one sister, Mrs. Doris Davidson of Keosauqua; and one niece.

Services will be Tuesday at 2 p.m. at the Pedrick Funeral Home in Keosauqua with the Rev. John Cornish officiating. Burial will be in Fellows Cemetery in Keosauqua.
