ELMER BLETZER

MILTON - Elmer C. Bletzer, 73, died Saturday at 2:20 p.m. at his farm while tending cattle. Death was unexpected.

The son of Phillip and Emma Kinsinger Bletzer, he was born Nov. 22, 1902, on the same farm in Van Buren County where he died. He married Dola Gaffney on May 10, 1924.

Surviving are his widow; two daughters, Betty Hoover of Omaha and Beverly Ogden of Ottumwa; three granddaughters; one great-granddaughter; and one sister, Mary Gaffney of Milton.

The funeral will be Tuesday at 2 p.m. at the Milton United Methodist Church, with the Rev. Herbert DeMello officiating. Burial will be in Sunnyside Cemetery.

Visitation will be tonight from 7 to 8 o'clock at Wellborn Funeral Home.

A memorial has been established.
