LOWELL BIRCHMIER

FARMINGTON - Lowell P. Birchmier, 65, of Farmington died Wednesday at 8:30 p.m. at Veterans Hospital in Iowa City. he had been ill two months.

He was born May 20, 1921, at troy to Leo and Blanche Prathers Birchmier. A Navy career man, he was a World War II veteran.

Surviving are four brothers, Sam and Rex, both of Farmington, Ross of Livermore, Calif., and Perry of Iowa City; and one sister, Lavell Moss of Bremerton, Wash.

The service will be Saturday at 20 a.m. at Miller-Hofbauer Funeral Home in Farmington, with the Rev. Scott Holmes officiating. Burial will be in Greenglade Cemetery.
