ORVILLE B. HYDE

CANTRIL - Orville B. Hyde, 89, of Cantril died Tuesday at the Burlington, Iowa, Care Center, where he had been six months.

He was born Oct. 27, 1886, at Brock, Mo., to William and Sarah Graubroski Hyde. On Oct. 30, 1908, he married Mamie Mankopf at Memphis, Mo. She preceded him in death.

Surviving are two daughters, Juanita Hyde at home and Mrs. Isabella Senn of Burlington; three grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; and one brother, Dewey of Sun City, Ariz.

Mr. Hyde had been a guard at the Iowa State Penitentiary at fort Madison. He was a member of the Cantril Christian Church.

A graveside service will be held Thursday at 10 a.m. at Maple Grove Cemetery at Cantril, with the Rev. Gerald Caughron officiating. The body is at Wellborn Funeral Home.
