Girl killed in accident

Tammie Marie Hanshaw, 16, Norfolk, Va., and a former resident of Fairfield, was killed in an auto accident Monday near Carlisle, Pa.

Arrangements for services are pending at the Raymond Funeral Home.

Tammie's brother and one other youth were injured in the accident. Her father, Leonard Hanshaw, is stationed with the U.S. Navy at Naples, Italy.

Virginia Hanshaw, 1104 W. Grimes, is the paternal grandmother. She is visiting her son in Germany who is serving with the armed forces.

Tammie Marie Hanshaw was born April 26, 1962, at Keosauqua, the daughter of Leonard L. and Brenda J. Livesay Hanshaw. She was reared and educated in Fairfield, Ottumwa and Keosauqua, and the past three years in Norfolk, Va., where she was a student in high school.

Tammie was baptized in the Christian Church at Keosauqua. In addition to her parents she is survived by a brother, Kevin at home; her paternal grandmother; her maternal grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Alex Livesay, Keosauqua; and great-grandmothers, Mrs. Bertha Livesay, Fairfield, and Mrs. Lillian, Myers, Kirksville, Mo.

Tammie was preceded in death by her paternal grandfather, Lloyd Hanshaw who died April 28.
