Roy Hellwig

FARMINGTON - Roy Hellwig, 83, of Farmington died today at 7:30 a.m. at Van Buren County Hospital in Keosauqua, where he had been five days.

He was born July 29, 1892, at Bonaparte to Fred and Margaret Simmons Hellwig. He married Flossie Norman on Feb. 20, 1916, at Bonaparte. She preceded him in death.

He was a retired farmer.

Surviving are two sons, Howard A. of Farmington and Carles (Fritz) of Eagle Grove; one sister, Laura Johns of Farmington; and two great-grandchildren.

The body is at Miller-Hofbauer Funeral Home in Farmington.

Hellwig funeral

FARMINGTON - The funeral for Roy Hellwig, 83, will be Monday at 1:30 p.m., in the Miller-Hofbauer Funeral Home at Farmington. The Rev. Scott Holmes will officiate.

Burial will be at Thompson Cemetery.

Mr. Hellwig died Friday at 7:30 p.m. at the Van Buren County Memorial Hospital in Keosauqua.
