BONAPARTE - The service for Bessie Church, 91, of Bonaparte, who died Sunday, will be Wednesday at 1:30 p.m. at Miller-Hofbauer Funeral Home in Farmington, with the Rev. Scott Holmes officiating. Burial will be in Lambirth Cemetery.
Mrs. Church was born April 23, 1884, at Fairfield to Albert and Mary Loring Gardner. On April 7, 1909, she married Ray Church at Fairfield.
A former rural school teacher, she had lived most of her life on a farm near Bonaparte.
Surviving are her widower; one son, Kenneth of Bonaparte; two daughters, Katherine Wiley of Inglewood, Calif., and Madelon Anderson of Delavan, Wis.; three brothers, Thomas Gardner of Boulder, Colo., Robert Gardner of Mesa, Ariz., and Albert Gardner of Fairfield; three sisters, Lida Grant of Sun City, Ariz., Flossie Turley of Orange, Calif., and Helen Stuckey of Fairfield; three grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.
