MISS ELLA GASTON

Miss Ella Gaston, 86, passed away at 12:30 p.m. Thursday, June 5th, at the hospital in Fort Madison, Iowa, following a stroke suffered on Thursday the week before. She was the daughter of Elmer E. and Da Re Cooley Gaston. She was a lifelong resident of Milton, a member of the United Methodist Church and a 60 year member of Chapter AD P.E.O. She had worked for the Telephone Co. in the Brody Store and for Dr. N.J. Gilfillan. She is survived by one niece, Mrs. Roberta Spring, and a grand niece, Linda Spring, and a grand nephew, Mark Spring. She was preceded in death by her parents and one sister. Funeral was held Saturday June 7th at the United Methodist Church at 2:00 p.m. conducted by Rev. Herbert De Mello with burial in the Milton Sunnyside Cemetery.
