FLOYD F. JOHNSTON

Floyd F. Johnston, 88, of Stockport, died Friday, May 16, at Carroll where he had been a resident one month.

He was born at Stockport on January 28, 1887, the son of Richard and Anne Miller Johnston. He married Lola Barnes, November 13, 1907, at Stockport.

Mr. Johnston had served as secretary of the Stockport school district, justice of the peace, real estate agent and was active in the Republican party for several years. He was a charter member and a past patron of Stockport Chapter 544 Order of Eastern Star, past master and last living charter member of Stockport Masonic Workman Lodge 634.

Surviving: The wife; one daughter, Mrs. Mildred Lane, Carroll; three grandchildren; three great grandchildren; three sisters, Mrs. Maude Smith, Stockport, Mrs. Cleola Miller, Iowa City, and Mrs. Aletha Burke, Keokuk.

Services were held May 19, 1975, at 2 p.m. at the Stockport United Methodist Church with Rev. David Kennedy officiating. Graveside services were h eld by Stockport Workman Masonic Lodge #634 at Spencer Cemetery.

Burch Funeral Home, Birmingham, was in charge of arrangements.
