ALLEN WITT

Allen Witt, 77, a retired Fairfield grocer who lived the past year with his son, Wayne, in Burlington, died at 12:55 p.m. Tuesday, May 6, 1975, in Burlington Memorial Hospital.

He was born October 13, 1897, in Bentonsport, the son of Charles and Sarah Zachau Witt. He married Elizabeth Stecker, February 3, 1921. He was a member of the Fairfield Methodist Church and the Jefferson Odd Fellows Lodge 4.

Surviving: The wife; one son, Wayne, Burlington; three grandchildren; one sister, Mrs. Della Forbes, Keosauqua; and three brothers, Clarence, Keosauqua, Charlie, Douds, and George, Mountain Home, Arkansas.

Funeral was 2 p.m. Friday, at Behner Funeral Home, Fairfield, in charge of the odd Fellows Lodge; Fellows cemetery near Keosauqua.
