Mrs. [Clarinda Cox] Anson and family went to Mountain Grove, MO Tuesday evening to arrange for the burial of her husband whose death occured at Fulton, Mo., Jan. 21, 1907.

The news of his death came as a shock to the family, for although he had been in declining health for several years, it was not realized that the end was so near. Mr. [Flarious] Anson was born in Van Buren County, Iowa, December 25, 1854, hence was 52 years of age at the time of his death.

The family heartily appreciates the beautiful floral tributes contributed by the teachers in our city schools [he was a teacher].

The Repulican extends sincere sympathy to these worthy people to their bereavement.--Willow Springs Republican [newspaper].

The body arrived here at noon on Wednesday of last week, and was taken to the home of Mr. and Mrs. J.M. [Max] Cassil where funeral services were conducted by Rev. Hicks of the Chrisitian church assisted by Rev. Jones of the M.E. church, after which the body was laid to rest in the New cemetery [Mountain Grove, MO].

This being their former home, the family have many friends here who are saddened by this event, but who also realized that a good chrisitian man has gone to his reward of the righteous.

I am related and this Obit. is in an old family scrapbook; submitted for those who might have an interest.
