HARL WESLEY BOYD

Harl Wesley Boyd, 58, Sperry, died at 7:30 a.m. Sunday, April 13, at his home after a lenghty illness.

He was born March 18, 1917, at Leon, the son of Elmer and Anna Hanson Boyd. He married Marvel Lenora Cole, April 7, 1936, at Fairfield. A bulldozer operator, he was a member of Sperry United Methodist Church.

Surviving: The wife; two sons, Merlin, Mediapolis, and Ronnie, West Burlington; four daughters, Mrs. Annabelle hand, Sperry, Mrs. Barbara Taylor, West Burlington; and Mrs. Donna McCarty and Mrs. Karen Schnedler, Mediapolis; his mother, Mrs. Anna Boyd, Farmington; three sisters, Mrs. Aletha Folker and Mrs. Ruby Shaw, Farmington, and Mrs. Sylvia Simpson, Keosauqua; three brothers, Gerald, Bonaparte, Ray, Kahoka, Missouri, and Francis, Milton; 20 grandchildren; and one great grandchild.

Funeral was Wednesday at 2 p.m., Sperry United Methodist Church, Rev. Delbert Terry; Kossuth cemetery.
