ROSS BLAIR

Ross Blair, 79, Keosauqua, a retired farmer, died of a heart attack at 6:15 p.m. Saturday, April 19, 1975, at Memorial Hospital.

He was born January 3, 1896, at Mt. Zion, the son of James and Martha O'Neil Blair. He married Mildred Miller February 2, 1917, at Deming, New Mexico, where he was in the Army during a Mexican border conflict. He later served in France in World War I.

He was a member of Mt. Sterling United Methodist Church and a charter member of Beer-Barker American Legion Post here.

Surviving: Son, Miller, Mt. Stering; daughter, Mrs. Shirley Seip, Keosauqua; three brothers, Ernest, Mt. Pleasant, John, West Liberty, and Alva, Washington, Illinois; six grandchildren; and four great grandchildren.

Funeral was Tuesday, 2 p.m. at Mt. Sterling Methodist Church, Rev. Herbert Methodist Church, Rev. Herbert DeMello; Purdom cemetery, Keosauqua. Pedrick funeral Home was in charge of arrangements. A memorial has been established.
