Robert Wayne McGee, 3-month-old son of Scott and Nancy McDonough McGee of Douds, died unexpectedly Sunday afternoon. The infant was napping in his swing when his mother saw that something was wrong.
The baby was taken to Van Buren County Memorial Hospital where he was pronounced dead at 5 p.m.
He was born December 19, 1974, in Jefferson County Hospital at Fairfield.
Surviving: The parents, a brother, Scott Christopher, at home; grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Charles McDonough, Ottumwa; Mrs. Elsie McGee, Keosauqua; and Ray McGee, Davenport; great-grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. S.C. Williams and Mrs. Mary Heath, all of Ottumwa, and Mrs. Esther McDonough, Bloomfield, and George McDonough, in California.
Graveside services were at 10 a.m. Tuesday, Zion Lutheran cemetery northeast of Douds, Rev. Donald Strauch officiating. Arrangements were in charge of Pedrick at Douds.
