Neil Miller Hanan, son of Mr. and Mrs. J.E. Hanan, died on March 14, 1907 of pneumonia, aged 1 year and six days.
Funeral services, conducted by Rev. Blagg, Pastor, were held the following day at Center Chapel.
Little Neil, how precious sounds the name;
This with trembling hands we trace the letters,
For the sorrow from his death
Around our hearts entwine.How the little one did suffer;
But our hopes still clung for life;
Till the little form was almost wasted,
Then the Spirit took its flight.How we'll miss that little prattle,
And that happy smile,
That to each and all he greeted
Scarce he caught your laughing eye,How we prayed for his recovery
From the first he was taken ill;
But God saw fit to answer prayer
In his own good way and will.Let's not wish him back to sorrow,
Suffering, sin, and strife,
But join him there in glory.
When our eathly life is o'er.--Auntie.
