Lewis W. Boley

Mr. Lewis Walker Boley, a resident of Van Buren County all of his life, passed away at Laughlin Hospital, Kirksville, Mo. at 4:30 J.M. on June 29, 1973. He was 76 years, 4 months, and 25 days old at the time of his death.

Mr. Boley was born in Van Buren County on Feb. 5, 1897, the son of William and Jane McCracken Boley.

Lewis made farming his profession and he farmed all of his life on the same place where his parents moved to when he was one month old.

Lewis was baptized and became a member of the Hillsboro Baptist Church on Feb. 21, 1915.

Surviving are two brothers, Dean of Stockport and Nick of Birmingham; three sisters, Beulah, Norene and Irene, all of Stockport. He also leaves to mourn his departure three nieces and six nephews, and many neighbors and friends.

Preceding him in death were his parents, one brother, Mack Rufus, and one sister, Ida.

His mortal body was laid to rest in the Hillsboro Cemetery.

Pall Bearers were Ralph Dean Boley, Wayne Boley, Carl Boley, William Boley, Robert Stephenson and Glen Stephenson.
