Mrs. Florence Campbell

Mrs. Florence Campbell, daughter of Dr. S.H. and Myrtle Morse Bauman, was born July 22, 1888, at LaMotte, Ia., and departed this life Friday, June 15, 1973 at the Jefferson County Hospital in Fairfield at the age of 84.

As a child she moved with her parents to the Birmingham community.

On January 10 1912, she was married to Charles A. Campbell who passed away in 1956. They lived on a farm in the Mt. Zion community and for many years operated a commercial orchard.

Remaining to cherish her memory are two sons, Robert of Keosauqua and Dan of Bettendorf, 3 daughters, Mrs. Mona Emmert of Jacksonvill, Fla.; Miss Margaret Campbell of Iowa City; and Mrs. Ruth Arnold of Tulsa, Oklahoma. Also surviving are ten grandchildren; four great grandchildren and two sisters, Mrs. Rachel Dwyer of Penellas Park, Fla., and Mrs. Ruth Graham of Los Altos, Calif., other relatives and many friends.

A brother, sister, and a grandson preceded her in death.

Mrs. Campbell was a member of the Mt. Zion Presbyterian Church and Ladies Aid Society, the Izaak Walton League, P.E.O. Sisterhood, Delphian Study Club, and Daughters of the American Revolution, all in Keosauqua.

She will be remembered as a devoted mother and grandmother and a leader in her community.

Funeral services were held Saturday, June 6, 1973, at 2 p.m. at the Mt. Zion Presbyterian Church with the Rev. Harold Schnedler, pastor officiating. Mrs. Herman Green was the pianist. Pall bearers were Roy Oakman, Don Hootman, Max Miller, Bruce Boley, Elwood Anderson, and Fred Bauman. Interment was in the Forbes Cemetery north of Keosauqua. Arrangements were in charge of Pedick Funeral Home, Keosauqua.
