Francis Wixom

Francis Wixom, 58, of West Liberty and formerly of Farmington, died at 8:20 a.m. Friday, April 27 in University Hospital, Iowa City.

He was born August 15, 1914 at Farmington, the son of Sam and Cora Swearingen Wixom.

He is survived by his wife, Viola of West Liberty, his mother, Mrs. Cora Carroll of West Branch, Ia., three sons, Francis of Columbus Junction, Wendell, of Wapello, and Larry of California, one brother, Sam, of East Moline, Ill., and one sister, Mrs. Elsie Mahoney of West Liberty. He was preceded in death by his father.

The funeral service was held at 2 p.m. Monday, April 30, at the Snyder Funeral Home in West Liberty with burial in the West Liberty Cemetery.
