PFEIFER, FIELDS, ROBERTS, BENNETT, KENNEDY

Lulu E. Pfeifer

Lulu E. Pfeifer, 80, of Bonaparte, died at 3 a.m. Friday, Dec. 15, at the Louis Fields home in Bonaparte. She had been ill for over two years. She was born Dec. 3, 1891 near Bonaparte, the daughter of Jacob H. and Etna Roberts Bennett.

On March 31, 1920, she married John W. Pfeifer at Bonaparte. They moved from Hillsboro to Bonaparte in 1949. She was a retired school teacher, a member of the United Methodist Church at Bonaparte, the W.S.C.S., and a member and Past president of the American Legion Auxiliary.

Surviving are her husband, two sons, W. Scott Pfeifer of Birmingham and Norman Gene Pfeifer of Keosauqua, one daughter, Edna Ruth Kennedy of Phoenix, Arizona, one brother, Howard Bennett, Montrose, 5 grandchildren, one great grandchild, three step grandchildren and five step great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents and one son in infancy.

The funeral service was held at 2 p.m. Monday, Dec. 18, in the Bonaparte Presbyterian Church, with burial in the Bonaparte Cemetery. Miller-Hofbauer Funeral Home had charge of the service.
