Matilda Hinrichsen, 101, died at 6:15 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 16, at Restopia Nursing home, Columbus Junction.
She was born on Feb. 17, 1871, in Reisem, Germany. She married Peter Hinrichsen on Aug. 5, 1898, in Reisem. He died on Aug. 5, 1928 in Columbus Junction. She was a member of the Lutheran faith and the Rebecca Lodge. She was the oldest member of the Columbus Junction community.
Surviving are two sons, Herman Hendrichsen, Keosauqua, William Hendrickson, Columbus Junction; 14 grandchildren and 39 great-grandchildren.
The funeral was held at 1:30 p.m. Tuesday at the Stacy-Lewis Funeral Home. Rev. Burl Richards officiated. Burial was in the Columbus cemetery.
