Reuben F. Vance

Reuben F. Vance, 77, rural Hillsboro, died at 3:10 a.m. Tuesday, Oct. 24 at the Burlington Memorial Hospital, Mercy Unit.

He was born March 4, 1895 at Clinton, Ia., the son of Edward and Augusta Vance. On April 26, 1924, he was married to Lila Henry of Clinton.

He was a farmer and had lived in the Hillsboro vicinity since 1943. He was a member of the Hillsboro Masonic Lodge.

Surviving are his wife; his mother of DeWitt, Ia., nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held Thursday, Oct. 26 at 1:30 p.m. at the Beatty-Jennings Chapel in Salem.
