Mrs. Mary Rohdy

Mrs. Mary (Dolly) Rohdy, 91, of Farmington rural route, died at 12:55 a.m. Sunday, Oct. 22, in Van Buren County Memorial hospital, Keosauqua. She had been a patient there five weeks.

Born Nov. 23, 1880, at Primrose, she was the daughter of Ira and Elizabeth Carver Anderson.

She married Louis C. Rohdy on Dec. 15, 1906, at Primrose. He preceded her in death. She was a lifelong resident of the Primrose community. Mrs. Rhody was a member of the St. Paul's United Church of Christ at Donnellson.

She is survived by one son, Conrad Rohdy of Donnellson; and four daughters, Mrs. Robert (Joyce) Weaver of Memphis, Mo., Mrs. Lucille Boyd of Mt. Pleasant; Mrs. Herbert (Blanche) Loges and Mrs. Carl (Eva) Kirchner, both of Donnellson; two brothers, Paul Anderson of Springfield, Mo. and Dorr Anderson of Primrose; one sister, Mrs. Birdie Connor of Ottumwa; nine grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, one grandson, three brothers and three sisters.

The funeral was held at 2 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 24, in the Miller-Hofbauer Funeral Home at Donnellson. The Rev. Donald Stoll officiated. Burial was in the Primrose cemetery.
