SIMON O. METCALF

Simon Ottis Metcalf, 20, died Monday, Oct. 16 at 6:15 p.m. at his home southeast of Selma. Death was due to a self-inflicted gunshot wound, according to Dr. K. Furumoto, Van Buren County deputy medical examiner.

He was born July 25, 1952, to Warren S. and Vivian E. Metcalf. He was a member of the Selma United Methodist Church.

Surviving are his parents, five brothers, two sisters and two grandmothers.

The funera(l) service was held Wednesday, Oct. 18 at 2 p.m. at the Pedrick Funeral Home in Douds, conducted by the Rev. Earl Kelly. Burial was in the Iowaville Cemetery near Selma.
