Clarence Ford

Funeral services were held at 10 a.m. Friday for Clarence R. Ford, 84, who died suddenly of a heart attack Tuesday morning, July 12 near the Ideal Concrete Company.

The services were held at the Raymond Funeral Home with the Rev. Wayne Bartruff officiating, and burial was in Maple Hill Cemetery.

Clarence R. Ford was born Jan. 7, 1888, at Winchester in Van Buren County. He was the son of John and Mary McCall Ford and was reared and educated in the Winchester Community.

A retired farmer, the family home is at 104 W. Lowe.

His marriage to Roxanna Kellogg took place Jan. 1921, at Ottumwa. He was a member of the United Methodist Church.

In addition to his widow, he is survived by one son, Max Ford, route 3, Fairfield; five grandchildren, and three great grandchildren; one brother, LeRoy, Loveland, Colo.; and one sister, Mrs. Goldie Horne, Montrose.

He was preceded in death by one brother and one sister.
