Mrs. Pearl Seward

Funeral services for Mrs. Pearl Seward, age 77, who passed away Sept. 2, 1971 at Huntsville, Ala., were held Monday, Sept. 6 at 2 p.m. from the Beatty-Jennings Funeral Chapel in Salem. The Rev. Edmund Newbauer, pastor of the Salem Congregational Church, officiated, with interment in the Greenglade Cemetery at Farmington.

Mrs. Gordo Watts was the organist.

The casket bearers were Darrell Foss, Arlo Foss, Bryan Andres, Dennis Waiseth, Stanley Waiseth and Hartley McPherson.

Mrs. Seward was a former Croton, Iowa resident born there Sept. 30, 1893, the daughter of Allen and Dora Camp Reines. She was married to Ray Seward, who preceded her in death in 1931.

Surviving are her daughter, Mrs. Merle (Dora) Andres of Huntsville, Ala., with whom she made her home; one son, Herbert of Trenton, Mich.; seven grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; one sister, Mrs. Bertha McPherson of Ft. Madison, and 25 nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her husband Ray, one brother and three sisters.
