John Malcolm Atkinson

Mr. John Malcolm Atkinson, age 68, of Pecan Street, Loganville, Georgia, passed away Monday morning August 23, 1971 in a Lawrenceville, Georgia, hospital.

Mr. Atkinson was born in Gwinnett County, Georgia, on February 28, 1903, o of the late Aaron Harrison and Mary Ann Leopard Atkinson. He received his education in the Walton County, Georgia, public schools and prior to his retirement he owned and operated a Lawn Mower Repair Shop in Loganville, Georgia.

Surviving are: his wife, the former Lottie Hammond, 2 daughters, Mrs. Francis Hellwig of Bonaparte, Iowa, and Mrs. Margaret Askew of Lithonia, Georgia, 1 son, Mr. William Atkinson of Atlanta, Georgia, 1 sister, Mrs. Guy Palmer of Loganville, Georgia 2 brothers, Mr. W.R. Atkinson of Hinesville, Georgia and Mr. Floyd Atkinson of Loganville, Georgia 10 grandchildren, 2 great grandchildren, and several neices and nephews also survive.

Funeral services were conducted Wednesday morning August 25, 1971 at 11 a.m. at the Corinth Christian Cemetery, near Loganville, Georgia. The Rev. Don Hardison officiated. Interment was in the family lot of the chruch cemetery.

Tom M. Wages Funeral Home, Oak Lwn Chapel, Lawrenceville, Georgia, had charge of the arrangements.
