Henry Denning

Henry Denning, 76, Houghton, died Saturday, Aug. 21, at 5:20 p.m. in Sacred Heart Hospital, Ft. Madison.

He was born April 23, 1895, in St. Paul, the son of John and Theresa Mertens Denning. A retired farmer, he married Emma Brockman Nov. 10, 1941, in Lawrence, Neb. He was a member of John Catholic church at Houghton and Holy Name Society.

Surviving are his wife; a daughter, Mrs. Michael L. Seller, Omaha, Nebr.; a brother, Conrad of Houghton; two sisters, Mrs. Albert Brockman and Mrs. Robert Manegold of Ft. Madison; and two grandchildren.

The funeral service was held Tuesday, Aug. 24 at 9 a.m. at St. John Catholic church, Rev. Albert Gotezman officiated. Burial was in St. John cemetery. Link Funeral Home, West Point, was in charge of arrangements.
