KATHERINE ANDREWS

Viola Katherine Andrews was born Nov, 16, 1896 at Billings, Mo., the daughter of George and Elizabeth Keast Kastendick.

She died at the Bloomfield Manor June 29, 1974 at the age of 77 years, 7 months and 15 days.
She attended Billings High School and State Normal School at Springfield, Mo., becoming a teacher. She taught in Billings and other surrounding towns.

She married Wm. L. Andrews, veterinarian on January 24, 1924 and moved to Milton, Iowa where they celebrated their golden wedding anniversary this year. She was always a helpmate for the doctor and taught part time in the Milton school.
She was a member of the Milton Methodist Church and was a long time superintendent of the children's department.

Survivors include one son, Charles of Milton, six grandchildren, including Carol and Peggy who lived with them 11 years, a sister, Hazel Shafer of Tulsa, Okla. and a number of nieces and nephews, other relatives and friends.

She was preceded in death by her husband, parents, two brothers, George and Frank Kastendick, a son, Wm. Frank Andrews, one grandson, Wm. Andrews.

Funeral services were at the Methodist Church July 2 at 1:30 P.M. Officiating was the Rev. DeMello under the direction of Wellborn Funeral Home. Burial was in Sunnyside Cemetery.
