R. Wilburn Dies At 62

ELDON - Rollie W. Wilburn, 62, Eldon, died Friday in Ottumwa Hospital. He had been ill with cancer since January.

Services will be Monday at 10 a.m., at the Eldon Christian Church with the Rev. Earl Menning officiating. Graveside services and interment will be Monday at 1:30 p.m. in Vinton. Arrangements are in charge of the Pedrick Funeral Home.

Wilburn was born Sept. 25, 1913 near Eldon, the son of William and Flora Thomas Wilburn. He lived most of his life in the Eldon area.

On Feb. 19, 1937, he was married to Hazel Gordon at Vinton. She survives.

Also surviving are a son, Wilson of Kansas City, Mo., and a daughter, Mrs. Linda Yockum of Eldon; eight grandchildren; four brothers, Oscar of Eldon, Robert of Mount Pleasant, John of Broomfield, Colo., and Ralph of Agency.

Wilburn, a steam fitter, was employed at Winger Construction Co., in Ottumwa before his retirement due to disability in 1975.

He was a member of the Plumbers and Steamfitters union Local 33 at Des Moines, the Ottumwa Aerie 114 FOE. He attended the Eldon Christian Church.
