L. Wiggins Dies At 78

MOUNT PLEASANT - LeRoy Wiggins, 78, retired farmer, died Tuesday, 11:23 p.m., at Washington County Hospital.

He was born May 17, 1899 near Wayland, the son of Harvey and Barbara Schadt Wiggins. On Dec. 26, 1920 he married Mary Hockett. She survives.

Also surviving are two sons, Neville of Rome and Macy Dale of Trenton; seven grandchildren; two stepgrandchildren and three great-grandchildren.

Services will be Friday, 1:30 p.m., at Beatty-Jennings Funeral Home in Mount Pleasant with the Rev. Alfred Dietz officiating. Burial will be in Cottonwood Cemetery near Wayland.

The family will receive visitors Thursday, 7 to 8 p.m., at the funeral home.
