MOUNT PLEASANT Harry A. Trueblood, 71, Mount Pleasant, died at 11:30 a.m., Wednesday at the Henry County memorial Hospital. A former Stockport resident, he moved to Mount Pleasant three years ago.
Last rites will be held on Friday at 1:30 p.m., at the Faith Lutheran Church in Mount Pleasant with the Rev. Alton Koch officiating. Interment will be in the Cedar Creek Friends Cemetery.
Friends may call at the Beatty-Jennings Chapel in Mount Pleasant. A memorial has been established to Faith Lutheran Church of which he was a member.
Trueblood was born on Nov. 9, 1903 near Oakland Mills, the son of LeRoy and Minnie Caviness Trueblood. On March 18, 1923 he married Marie Lochner.
A retired farmer, he was a 20-year employe of the Dexter Co., of Fairfield.
He is survived by his wife; two sons, Vern Trueblood of Birmingham and Clarence Trueblood of Fairfield; one daughter, Mrs. LaVerne (Fern) Thornburg of Danville; two sisters, Mrs. Gladys Chatfield of Ancortes, Wash., and Mrs. Opal Benson of Ottumwa; 10 grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.
