Harold Brown

A funeral for Harold Dale Brown, 42, of Keokuk, who died Wednesday in a car-pedestrian accident, will be 10:30 a.m. Monday in DeJong Funeral Home with the Rev. A.H. Bauch officiating.

Burial will be in Spencer Cemetery, Stockport.

Visitation will be after 2 p.m. Sunday, with the family meeting friends 7-9 pm.

Brown was born Feb. 22, 1937 at Stockport, son of Wayne Allen and Thelma M. Kingholt Brown. He married Leta Barnes in 1964.

A Keokuk resident the past five years, he was self-employed as a timber man and a member of the Eagles' Club.

Survivors include his parents of Pittsburg, Iowa; son Roy Dale of Luray, Mo.; daughters Mrs. Brenda D. Cochenour of Arbela, Mo., Mrs. Beverly D. Riekeberg of Kirksville, Mo., Mrs. Janet D. Stewart of Luray, Mo., Mrs. Tami D. Pagel, Mrs. Cathy D. Jenkins and Debra d. Brown of Kahoka, Mo.; brothers Charles E. and Larry W. of Mount Sterling, Iowa; sisters Mrs. Mary E. Abshire of Sioux City, Mrs. Betty Ann Faudel of Davenport, Mrs. Linda Sue Claman of West Liberty, Mrs. Nancy Cunningham of Italy, Mrs. Judy Phillips of Douds, Mrs. Roberta Coyle of Fairfield and Joyce Brown of Keosauqua, and seven grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by a granddaughter.

Harold D. Brown

KEOKUK - Final rites for Harold Dale Brown, 42, Keokuk RR3, are pending at the DeJong Funeral Home.

Mr. Brown was killed at about 11:40 p.m. Wednesday, Dec. 26, when he was struck by a car on Highway 218 north of Keokuk. (Story on Page 1.)

He was born Feb. 22, 1937, in Fairfield. He was a timberman by trade.

On July 24, 1964, he married Leta Barnes.
