Mary E. Warner, daughter of Henry and Louisa Warner, was born near Utica, Van Buren Co., Iowa, February 11, 1871; died at her home two miles south of Hillsboro March 16, 1911; aged 40 years 1 month 5 days.
She was married to Milton C. Stillwell Nov. 26, 1891. To this union were born five children, two boys and three girls, all of whom are living. They are James W., George L., Francis, Mary and little baby Ruth.
Deceased professed faith in Christ when only 16 years of age, uniting with the Free Baptist Church of Utica, in 1904. She united by letter with the Free Baptist Church of Hillsboro, where she lived an earnest and consistant Christian life until the time of her death.
Mrs. Stillwell's mother died in May, 1879 and her father April 29, 1904; a brother also preceeded (sic) her to the better world Nov. 6, 1896.
Members of the family still living are a brother, C.A. Warner, Stockport, Iowa, and a sister, Mrs. A.M. Brady, Milton, Iowa.
To know Mrs. Stillwell was to love her. She was a kind and loving mother, a devoted wife and a faithful friend and one who will be greatly missed in the community in which whe spent her entire life. After months of patient suffering from tuberculosis she passed peacefully through the shadows into the larger life beyond, where she waits to welcome loved ones to that Heavenly home, the house not made with hands, eternal in the heavens.
