Arthur R. son of Ralph and Mary Rigby was born near Cottonwood, Ia., January 27, 1880, and died June 27, 1914 aged 34 years and 5 months.
When 14 years of age he moved with his parents to Harrisburg Township where most of his life was spent on the farm, with the exception of about a year and a half when worked in the Racine and Kewanee plow shops.
He was united in marriage with Ethel May Fine November 26, 1907, and to this union four children were born, three of whom survive. Kenneth Dale preceded him to the other side. Those living are Edwin Keith, Garald Fine, and Evelyn Maxine. Besides the bereaved wife and children he leaves to mourn their loss his aged parents Mr. and Mrs. Ralph Rigby of Farmington, and five sisters. Two brothers, John E. and Charles I., preceded him in death. The sisters are Mrs. Lillie Mead, Tobias, Neb.; Mrs. Lizzie Bucher of Atkinson, Neb.; Mrs. Martha Banta of Fairfield, Ia.; Mrs. Lettie Macklin; and Miss Kathryn of Farmington.
Funeral services were held Sunday afternoon at the late home in charge of Rev. James M. Wilson of the Baptist church, with interment at Sharon where a short service was held.
