Mrs. Anna Snider-Weaver was born in Highland Co. Ohio , Nov 10, 1828. On the 7th of Aug 1845 she married Elijah Weaver. In 1866 they moved from Highland Co. Ohio to Van Buren County Iowa where they lived til they came to Kansas and made their home at Hoxie with their two youngest children , Fred Weaver and Anna Weaver.

Mrs. Weaver had been a invalid for about 12 years, but on the morning of the 19th instantly she became worse and on Wednesday morning the 21st at 4:40 the prayer she had offered for years was answered and death came.

She knew her time had come to leave the scenes of earth, and during the last few days of her life she said she was going to leave the loved ones and go to her long sought home, and that " not a wave of trouble should roll across her peaceful breasts." She leaves to mourn her depature and aged husband, a brother, two sisters, 8 children, forty grandchildren and fifteen great grandchildren. At the age of 15 Mrs. Weaver was happily converted and joined the Methodist Episcapal church. At the time of her death she was still a member at Stockport, Iowa.
