Clarence Trueblood

Clarence R. "Bill" Trueblood, 57, of Salem, died at 3:05 a.m. Wednesday, April 24 in Henry County Memorial hospital, Mt. Pleasant.

Mr. Trueblood was born in Salem on oct. 1, 1910, the son of Newton and Viola Harmison Trueblood. He was alife resident of Salem and a longtime employe of the Henry County Maintenance shop. He married Mary Newby in Mt. Pleasant on April 22, 1933.

Surviving are his wife, a son, Joe of Racine, Wis.; a daughter, Mrs. Howard Dutton of Mt. Pleasant; two brothers, Francis of Salem and Evertt of Moline, Ill.; a sister, Mrs. Grace Burnswig of Placenta, Calif.; three grandchildren.

Services were held Friday, Apr. 26 at 2 p.m. at the Salem Congregational Church, the Rev. Paul P. Hughes officiating. Burial was in Salem East cemetery.
