ILENE MAE TEDROW

Mrs. Ilene Mae Tedrow, daughter of Emery and Mildred Stull Fickel, was born November 17, 1937 near Eldon and departed this life, Thursday, July 3, at her home near Downing, Mo., at the age of 31.

She grew up in the Eldon-Batavia community, and graduated from Batavia High School in 1955. She was a member of the Batavia United Methodist Church; a Past Worthy Advisor of Eldon Assembly, Order of Rainbow; and a member of the Order of Eastern Star at Batavia.

On October 16, 1955, she was married to Oscar A. Tedrow in her home church. They lived on a farm in the Lebanon community until moving to their present farm home in 1968.

Remaining to mourn her passing are her husband; daughter, Lynda and three sons, Danny, Dale, and Darryl, all at home; her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Emery Fickel of Fairfield; her grandmother, Mrs. Della Fickel of Fairfield; and her parents-in-law, Mr. and Mrs. Brice Tedrow of Douds. Also surviving are three aunts, Mrs. Edith Giltner of Ottumwa Route 7, Mrs. Mabel Parker of Batavia, and Mrs. Nellie Peebler of Birmingham; sisters and brothers-in-law; nieces; nephews; cousins; other relatives and friends.

An infant daughter and son preceded her in death.

Funeral services were held Sunday, July 6, at 2 p.m. at the Pedrick Funeral Home in Douds, with the Rev. Earl Erb of Prairie City, former pastor of the Batavia Methodist Church officiating. Interment was in the Mount Moriah Cemetery, north of Douds.
