Mrs. Eva Stagers
Mrs. Eva Stagers, Brighton, died Wednesday, July 31, at Jefferson County Hospital, Fairfield. She had suffered a stroke the Monday before.
She was born April 15, 1900, near Kilbourn, the daughter of Ralph and Alma Johnston Perkins. She spent her early life in Van Buren county and the past 23 years in Brighton.
She married O.C. Stagers, Nov. 4, 1918, at Keosauqua. He survives as do two daughters, Mrs. Lavada Clark of Packwood and Mrs. Donna Hartnell of Keota; and two sons Robert of Mt. Pleasant and Richard of Rubio; 10 grandchildren and six great-grandchildren; one sister, Mrs. Gertrude Harper of Chehalis, Wash.; and one half-brother, L.G. Skinner of Moline, Ill.
She was a member of the Brighton Pythian Sisters, Temple 24.
