HENRY ALBERT SCHAU

Henry Albert Schau, 86, of 1104 Monroe, Quincy, Ill. was pronounced dead on arrival Friday afternoon, July 7 at Blessing hospital. He had been under a physician's care.

Mr. Schau was born Aug. 21, 1880, in Farmington, Iowa, a son of Lewis and Caroline Burggraf Schau. He married Dena Johanne Buchholz Sept. 3, 1903. She died in Jan. 25, 1959. Mr. Schau was a member of Salem United Church of Christ. He had operated a Bruce service station for 15 years until his retirement seven years ago.

Surviving are a daughter, Mrs. Robert L. (Thelma) Gray of Quincy; two granddaughters, Linda and Beverly Gray of Quincy; a brother, Albert Schau of Farmington, Ia.; three sisters, Mrs. Elizabeth Wallingford of Bonaparte, Ia., Mrs. Jacob (Sophia) Rhody of Farmington, Ia., and Mrs. Anna Sears of Mason City, Ia.; nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by two brothers, Anton and Herman.

Funeral services were held Sunday afternoon, July 9 at 2 p.m. in Zehender-Robinson Stormer funeral home with the Rev. William E. Foose officiating. Burial was in Greenmount cemetery.
