MRS. ANNIE M. ROOK

Funeral services for Mrs. Annie May Rook, 88, Rt. 4, Mt. Pleasant, who passed away at her home Friday afternoon, Dec. 9, 1966, after a short illness, were held at the Salem Congregational Church, Monday, Dec. 12 at 2:00 p.m. Rev. Paul Hughes, pastor of the Salem Congregational Church, officiated.

Interment was in the Salem East Cemetery with Beatty Funeral Chapel in charge of arrangements.

Bearers were Tom Brenzer, Jerome Krogmeier, Wayne Hallowell, Vernon Parks, Ralph Smutz and Melvin Smith.

Music was provided by Mrs. Gordon Watts, organist, and Mrs. Delmar Barton, soloist.

Mrs. Rook was born May 30, 1878 near West Point, Iowa, the daughter of Andrew and Hellena Hussey Ault. On Aug. 3, 1898 she was married to Henry Rook at West Point. She was a member of the Salem Congregational Church.

She is survived by three sons: Myles Rook, Rt. 4, Mt. Pleasant, Henry Rook, Bloomfield, Iowa, and Darrell Rook, Denver, Colo; three daughters, Mrs. Robert (Margie) Burkey, Wellington, Kansas, Mrs. William (Lucille) Parrish, Vancouver, Wash., and Mrs. Walter (Pauline) Smith, Portland, Oregon; 15 grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; one sister, Allie Soppe, Paoli, Penn., and many nieces and nephews.

Her parents, husband, one brother, three sisters, two sons, Forrest Rook and Glenn Dale Rook, and one daughter, Madge Alice Rook, predeceased her.
