Julius W. Roberts

Julius W. Roberts, an employee of the Iowa Steel and Iron Works and a resident of Center Point for the past 11 years, passed away at 8:20 A.M., Sunday, June 2, 1968 in a Cedar Rapids hospital.

The son of Wilbur R. and Bessie Meade Roberts, he was born on Dec. 12, 1912 at New London, Iowa. On Dec. 21, 1962 he was married to Dorothy Smith at Center Point. He was treasurer of Local 291, National Foundry Machinists Workers.

Surviving are his wife; three daughters, Mrs. Wayne (Karen) Imhoff of Center Point, Mrs. David (Linda) Berg and Mrs. Robert (Judith) Hough, both of Cedar Rapids; three sons, Robert C. of Center Point, Spec. 5 Richard of Fort Sheridan, Ill. and Larry D. Roberts of Cedar Rapids; one step-son, David Wilkenson of Seattle, Wash.; one brother, Arthur Roberts of Keosauqua, Iowa; one half brother, Keith Dearinger of Burlington and 13 grandchildren. He was preceded in death by a son, Duane.

Services were held at 1:30 p.m. Wednesday, June 5, 1968 at the Murdoch Chapel in Center Point. Rev. Lloyd Graetz officiated. Burial was in the Center Point cemetery.
