JOSEPH W. NEWBOLD

Joseph W. Newbold, 66, of Ocala, Florida, a former Keosauqua attorney and Van Buren County Attorney, died Saturday night following surgery. He was the son of Willis B. and Emily Newbold born July 13, 1902 at Farmington.

He was married to Barbara Therme of Keosauqua and the family including Mrs. Newbold's mother, Mrs. Io Sloan Therme moved to Florida several years ago. He was employed as a bookkeeper for a Citrus Grove Company.

He is survived by his widow, a daughter Nancy, two brothers, Cyrus Newbold of Boone and Willis Newbold Jr. of Alabama, two sisters, Miss Katheryn Newbold of New York and Mrs. Ruth Berg of Wisconsin. Funeral services and burial was held Tuesday, May 6 at Ocala, Florida.
