Harry Jameson

Harry C. Jameson, 74, died Wednesday evening, Dec. 18 at the Van Buren County hospital, Keosauqua, after a long illness.

The son of Robert and Lemira Robinson Jameson, he was born Sept. 27, 1889, near Winchester, Iowa. He was married to Sarah Mary Hewitt, who survives.

Also surviving are four sons and two daughters, Robert of Eugene, Ore., Rex of of Burlington, Richard and John of Fairfield, Mrs. Doris Nidy of Marengo, Mrs. Lemira Collett of Williamsburg; a sister, Mrs. Belle Umphrey of Birmingham; 16 grandchildren and one great-grandchild.

A daughter, three brothers and three sons preceded him in death.

Services were held Saturday, Dec. 21 at 1:30 p.m. at the Birmingham Methodist church with the Rev. Wayne Hoehns officiating. Burial was in Maple Hill cemetery.
