MRS. BERTIE NEALLY

Mrs. Bertie June Neally of Monmouth, Ill. died Friday, Feb. 3 at 11 p.m. at Monmouth hospital.

Born March 10, 1887, at Bonaparte, Iowa, she was the daughter of Phillip O. and Sarah (Fine) Beck, and spent her early life at Bonaparte and in Van Buren county, Iowa. Her marriage to Walter H. Neally took place June 10, 1909, at Burlington, Iowa, and for many years, she worked with her husband in his painting and wallpapering business. His death occurred May 21, 1949. Mrs. Neally was of the Baptist faith, and she was quite active in the World War II Mothers club.

Survivors include four daughters: Mrs. William (Norma) Blystone of Shabbonna, Ill., Miss Hazel Neally of Monmouth, Mrs. Dick (Esther) Knapp of Raritan and Mrs. Delmar (Doris) Streight of Monmouth; nine grandchildren, 10 great-grandchildren; one brother, James Beck of Selma, Iowa; and a number of cousins, nieces, nephews and other relatives. Besides her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by a number of brothers and sisters, and a son, Lloyd E. Neally, Sept. 14, 1964.

Funeral services were conducted at 2 p.m. Monday, Feb. 6 at the Turnbull Funeral Home in charge of the Rev. Louis A. Baptist of Ottawa.
