MARTHA MARY MILLER

Martha Mary, daughter of Robert J. and Addie Mary Trueblood Standley was born April 6, 1916, at Bronson, Kansas.

With her parents returned to Iowa. After her father's death in 1924 she spent a number of years in Van Buren and Henry Counties, including Hillsboro.

On Nov. 16, 1934 she was married to Clarence W. Miller of Morning Sun, Iowa.

To this union three sons and one daughter were born: Robert Waltman, Titusville, Fla.; Judith Ann Cowles, Iowa City, Iowa; and Richard Palmer and Nicki Joe, both at home.

She spent a number of years on a farm in the community of Cairo in Louisa County, where as long as she was able attended the little Church at Cairo, teaching a Sunday School class. Her happy smile and her personal testimony for her Lord will always be a precious memory to all who knew her.

She was preceded in death by her father and one grandson.

Surviving besides her husband are the above mentioned children, her mother, Addie M. Standley, Mt. Pleasant, Iowa; one brother, Floyd A. Standley, Cedar Falls, Iowa; one sister, Mrs. R.E. (Edna) Brinning, Washington, Iowa, and four grandchildren.

She passed away Nov. 24, 1966, at the Mercy Hospital in Iowa City, after an extended illness.

Burial was in the little cemetery near Cairo close to the family home.
