HOMER C. LYDOLPH

Homer, third son of Henrietta and Ernest Lydolph, was born at Bonaparte, Iowa May 29, 1880 and passed away suddenly June 13, 1966 at his home near Utica, at the age of 85 years and 15 days.

He was united in marriage with Bertha Ware on March 12, 1913 at Keokuk. She preceded him in death June 3, 1966. To this union was born two sons and two daughters, who survive. They are: Minor of Stockport, Ware of Woodland Hills, Calif., Mildred Bell at Ft. Worth, Texas and Hazel Olson of Montrose, Colo. He is also survived by eight grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.

He was the last member of his family, having been preceded by his parents, four brothers, two sisters. He was also preceded by two grandchildren.

He spent his entire life farming in the Stockport, Bonaparte and Hillsboro communities, except as a young man he spent several summers in the harvest fields of the Dakotas, and a year working in the copper smelter in Ely, Nevada.

Funeral services were held Thursday, June 16 at 2 p.m. at the rural Utica church. Rev. Chester Werft officiated. Burial was in Dibble cemetery.
