MRS. RENA LAWRENCE

Mrs. Rena Lawrence, the second daughter of the late John S. and Martha Forbes Watts, was born in Van Buren County, Iowa, May 16, 1885 and passed away in Long Beach, Calif., Saturday, Aug. 26, 1967 following a lingering illness caused by several strokes.

Mrs. Lawrence grew to young womanhood in the Mt. Zion community where her family resided. She was a teacher in the county for several years.

After moving to California she met and married James Lawrence, and they made their home in Long Beach. Mr. Lawrence passed away several years ago.

Mrs. Lawrence is survived by two sisters, Mrs. Emma Darrling of Corona, Calif., and Mrs. Minnie Bates of Long Beach, Calif., and one brother, J. Hampton Watts of Encinitis, Calif.

Services were Monday, Aug. 28, 1967 at Hunter Mortuary Chapel in Long Beach. Rev. Bill Drummer officiating. Interment in Corona, Calif. by the side of her parents and sister, Anna.
