Evelyn Pearl White, age 99, of rural Farmington, IA, died May 25, 2017, at the Clark County Nursing Home in Kahoka, MO.

Evelyn was born October 16, 1917, in Van Buren County near Farmington, a daughter of Benjamin and Lourena Evans Delker.

She was united in marriage to Carroll E. White on January 3, 1951, in Keokuk, IA. He preceded her in death on May 21, 1999.

Survivors include her children, Lorene (Irwin "Gene') Morris of rural Bonaparte, IA, and Warren White of rural Farmington, IA; a brother, Melvin (Rose) Delker of Apache Junction, AZ, as well as nieces, nephews, and other relatives.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; one son in infancy, Loren White; and a brother, Stanley Delker.

Evelyn graduated from Farmington High School in 1935. For the next 15 years she taught in rural Van Buren County schools. Following her marriage, Evelyn stayed home assisting her husband on the farm and raising their children.

She loved to garden, sew, do word search puzzles, and watch Jeopardy and other game shows.

A private graveside service was held May 27, 2017, at Christy Cemetery.

Wilson Funeral Home in Kahoka assisted the family with arrangements.
