Mrs. Mary Inez Kenndey

Mrs. Mary Inez Kennedy passed away at her home in Mt. Sterling, Iowa, at 5:15 A.M. Dec. 9, 1968, after a serious illness of a few months. Her age 84 years, two months and 11 days.

She was born Sept. 28, 1884 near Acasto, Clark County, Mo., the youngest daughter of George and Malinda Neff Brewster.

She was united in marriage to Charles Kennedy March, 1904. To this union four children were born, who survive, namely, Howard Kennedy, St. Joseph, Mo.; Glenn, Mt. Sterling, Iowa; Mrs. Charles (Doris) Parish, Arbela, Mo., and Mrs. Harold (Mary) Broomhall of Fremont, Nebr., several grandchildren and great grandchildren nieces and a host of friends.

She was preceded in death by her husband, who passed away March, 1942, her parents, one sister, three brothers and two brothers in infancy.

She was a charter member of Clark County Extension Club, Kahoka and a member of the Asbury WSCS always willing to assist in any way. Her congenial and friendly disposition was evident in her walk of life. She will be sadly and greatly missed by all her family.

Funeral services were Wednesday, Dec. 11, at 2 P.M. at the Karle Shaffer Funeral Home, Kahoka, Mo. with Carl Martin officiating minister. Singers were Ruby Selway, Zella Kerr and organist, Margaret Davis. Pallbearers were Jim Lancaster, Alfred Thornsberry, Leverne Heald, Eddie Merrick, Billy Hawkins and Jim Havens. Burial was in Acasto Cemetery.
